Fucking, that's the job of the fire department if we're going down that road.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Fuck.. I didn't even go there at first

Neither did the fire department, it's a gradual change. They'll get their guy in the end.

Damn you! Stop! I have enough dystopian framework in my head through which I observe the mundane lol

16 hours later

Everyone waiting outside: "What's taking so damn long?"

Cop, inside: "This would be easier if I knew how to read..."

The officer didn’t find the book, but police insisted they were obligated to investigate, as a complaint came straight to them.

And what law was allegedly being broken that required said police investigation? Oh, no law whatsoever? Ergo, the cops are jackbooted fascists? Sounds right to me.

at a school named after W.E.B. Du Bois of all things. He would be ashamed.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

That would require the cop being self aware. Or educated.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Wouldn't surprise me if some online troll made a complaint and picked a random classroom.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It doesn't matter where the complaint came from. The issue is cops tearing classrooms apart looking for (checks notes), a book.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Well, of course. Cops are gonna cop. Good thing there wasn't a class guinea pig or it would've gotten shot.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Pigs never harm their own kind.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago

They do if they feel threatened by it.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 11 months ago

Just goes to show, cops will raid a classroom for a book, but not for an active shooter.

They aren't here to protect you. They're here to protect The Man.

Can we please start a rumor that guns make you gay? Double feature of making conservatives not want guns and not want to be cops.

Should we wait until it's a sure shot?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

What a stupid question is that?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago

None. No stupidity. So you're driving. You see a hazard ahead. There's a slight possibility it's just your eyes and you're tired. Do you figure it out by plowing into the purported hazard at full speed? Maybe that analogy misses the mark.. lmk

Meanwhile the cops don't come if I call them after being robbed

Cool country we've got here

[–] [email protected] 11 points 10 months ago

freedom is when the police kick in the doors of classrooms to steal "inappropriate" books
