I made an apple pie in a cast iron pan. It's actually easier to make than it seems. Everything is from scratch.

Now I want to make that too! Did you follow a certain recipe or did you just foolow your intuition?

I used this recipe along with their pie crust recipe. If you like tart apple pie it's great. I know I've seen other recipes that will have granny smith and another less tart apple together to reduced the tartness.

Cast irons are great for cooking in oven. My favorite got to be frying pork neck in cast iron, pour cooking cream with pepper cheese I and throw the pan to oven. It's somehow very satisfying to make

Good job on the lattice! Very traditional and looks amazing. I tried a lattice several times before I discovered stencils. Safe to say my latticework was never that neat

Well thanks! I think I'm good with my hands? I don't know, I just put one at a time and alternate sides. I did use a rolling pin to cut the strips equal widths though.
