Just for the record tho, The overworked and insanely talented engineers actually working at space x deserve credit for their impressive technologies. iirc, there was literally a team of menagers at space x "babysitting" Musk so everyone else can work. I'm happy for the developments and broad interest space x has brought to spaceflight recently, just a shame they have to be funded by Elon.
Privatizing space travel is as much of a mistake as privatization of anything ever has been
eh, sota yes, but past "government" space projects were mostly done by Boeing, Lockheed, Aerojet, etc anyway so the current wave of privatisation is making it mostly better by improving competition.
I have my opinions on blue origin but at least new companies like SpaceX are doing innovative things in contrast to old companies like Boeing that just sit around doing nothing, exploiting cost plus contracting
