Pope out for the season. Reckon they come in for Rambo now.
The Arsenal
For Saudi FC, 70 million
You know what, 50mil for him and i actually can see it being a good transfer for all parties involved, Ramsdale behind that geordie crowd will become more insufferable for away fans than Pickford currently is, they will absolutely love him and he wouldn’t have to stress over playing it out from the back, not under Howe at least. We really got to squeeze those geordie bastards for all we can though.
De Gea still available?
Fair shout.
Its mad to think he's still free, not great with the ball at his feet, but he saved united from embarrassment so many times last season
We shouldn't entertain the idea of letting Ramsdale go imo, not in January anyway
Pep said that modern wingers don't take enough risks. I agree
sold Jesus, Sterling, Sane and replaced them with Grealish
Ok Pep
Says the man the create this "mess".
Incoming 60m bid for Ramsdale from Newcastle.
Take that money and run.
I could see Ramsdale refusing that due to his Brother tbf.
Jeff Stelling has said the fa cup 3rd round draw should be seeded, as the lower league teams in league 2 and non league are looking for big paydays and TV coverage by playing teams in the prem/championship.
He argues that they should be given their moment in the sun vs a big club, rather than playing each other, getting no TV coverage and getting little to no money from their tie.
I have found it strange how many prem vs prem fixtures have been produced in the domestic cups lately.
On the other hand, prem vs prem means that lower league sides can advance further in the competition. One of us and Liverpool is getting eliminated straight away, that's a big hitter guaranteed to be out after round 3.
Do you lot agree with Jeff or not?
Goes against the fabric of the Cup itself though. Also when a big team draws a big team early on, chances are a lesser team makes it marginally further in the competition too.
I get it, but don’t think it will change and personally don’t think it should
Yeah makes sense. Makes it harder for them to actually win though. and could mean prem fans aren't really tuned in until quarters
No. Have the fun of the FA cup is when the Northwesternshire Wanderers FC get to the last 16 or something.
I made an order from arsenal direct on the 24th, still no shipping info...anyone else have this issue? I'm gonna give it til tomorrow because I'd imagine last week was busy for them
Assuming Tomi is out for tomorrow (I’d start him on the bench either way), here’s my team for Luton tomorrow. This aims to strike the balance between making sure we get three points in a potential banana skin away game but also trying to keep players fresh for the next three PL games which look incredibly tricky
Raya
White - Saliba - Kiwior - Zinchenko
Odegaard - Rice - Havertz
Saka - Jesus - Trossard
Subs: Ramsdale, Cedric, Gabriel, Walters, Elneny, Jorginho, Martinelli, Nketiah, Nelson
This may be a hot take but here it is: Barclays and La Liga are the only non banter top leagues in the world. Every other top league is basically a comedy show or a farmers league
Was at my first game this weekend. Felt it was a bit underwhelming. Any thoughts?
What did you find underwhelming about it? I didn't have any complaints about it really.
Meh, I used to be a season ticket holder but I don't love live games.
I honestly prefer just watching it at home. Just a personal preference, I'm not sure what you did or didn't like.
Am I the only person who didn’t see anything with ref blowing the whistle at that point? He gave them a free kick, playing advantage is not a requirement.
But he’s already played advantage. He didn’t blow the whistle until Grealish was in on goal.
It was so blatant too, the Saudis must be out paying the UAE at the moment
Saliba Gabriel Diomande Rice Palhinha.
That rotation next year - we are going to concede less than 15 goals all season.
Feels good to be playing as well as we are without relying on Partey
BBC article about Haaland tweet describing ‘wtf’ as ‘offensive slang’, what a weird description, offensive?
Alright dude, what the frick
Had no idea Pope is 31. With the expected length of this injury, I wouldn't be surprised to see them go big for Ramsdale in January.
