I love when Odegaard scores from the Ø zone

So City are going away to Villa without Rodri, Grealish, KDB, possibly even Doku and Stones ? Yeah, we might be 6 points clear this week. But this only puts even bigger pressure on that L'pool game we have later on this month. It's going to be a blood bath.
We have villa brighton first before pool, let’s concentrate on then first
We also play Villa away next weekend, let's not get too carried away
No one's getting carried away though is it ? If we deal with Luton (which we should have) and City lose to Villa, we're 6 points clear of them, it's that simple.
Going away to Villa next weekend, assuming we take an L and City win, there's still 3 points between us. L'pool can only overtake us by 1 point, no matter how you look at it. That's why i'm saying that Arsenal-L'pool game is going to be a blood bath, whoever wins that game, probably goes top of the league.
In Sweden we all know he's an Arsenal fan. He even said so on a podcast haha.
Still waiting on PGMOL and the FA to go "Waaaaaaaah, City are meanies!"
Wondering what Howard Webb will present on live TV too. Hooper's brain scans?
Nah, they'll own up to this one without a big fuss (no media campaigns and commentators being used to express their disgust at City's behaviour)
Josh was at the wolves game. Other than for the game of course, must be to discuss january targets right? And possible outgoings.
I also noticed felix played against his parent club in laliga but raya couldn't do the same for us. So the rules are different in spain?
I'm actually going to go against the grain a little bit here, but I think the reaction to Hooper's mistake yesterday is overblown. The advantage rule is complicated to implement, a ref has about one second to assess the entire field AND try predict which outcome (playing on or a free kick) is more advantageous. In comparison, a ref in rugby has like 30-40 seconds to weigh up the decision. He clearly misread that Grealish was favorite to get the ball, and seeminly second guessed himself and reacted to that. He also gestured that the foul had been committed, and some are arguing that he may have blown his whistle initially. If that's the case, you have to stop play.
Of course its a mistake, no debate. But that's the definition of human error, and understandable imo. Its very different than having multiple refs with access to infinite replays, camera angles and slow-motion, and still getting it wrong.
He was also the ref in the Liv- Spurs game and obviously the Diaz offside goal is more on VAR officials than him, but its a coincidence that Spurs have benefited in both the games he has officiated.
You can't acknowledge that its VARs fault and then suggest that its something sinister with the on field ref lol
Nah sorry this isn't it.
The guy called advantage and then stopped play all within 2 seconds. He panicked.
You should let play go and use the resources you have available, linesman, VAR etc.
He was in no position to make that call and bring play back.
It was another catastrophic, high profile error by the idiots we have officiating our game.
You should let play go and use the resources you have available, linesman, VAR etc.
None of these are relevant in the case where Grealish doesnt get the ball first (which he mistakenly thought was the case). VAR can't go back and give City a free kick.
Hooper could have let play continue, and VAR could have gone back and seen if the goal should stand had Grealish scored.
It was incompetence through and through.
Nope, there is nothing in that incident that would allow VAR to intervene. They can't overturn a free kick (or lack thereof) or advantage. VAR is literally irrelevant to this specific case, no matter what decision Hooper makes
Why are you not addressing the issue that even City is up in arms about?
Grealish was through on goal. Had he let play continue, and Grealish didn't score, then there's no reason for VAR to intervene. No harm, no foul.
Had Grealish scored, then VAR could intervene and see whether play should have been stopped to begin with and whether the goal stands.
This is the crux of the issue, and what should have happened if Hooper was competent.
Ofcourse its Kulusevski, the closet gooner, making sure that his beloved Arsenal maintain their lead at the top.
In Sweden we all know he's an Arsenal fan. He said so on a podcast. SO many Spurs players being Arsenal fans with Kane and Bale the most notable.
Smith rowe has just kind of disappeared again no?
should be back in a few days
Any minute now.
Any news on Mikel’s fine/ban?
I got a feeling those fuckers are going to touchline ban him for tougher games, probably Liverpool + West Ham.
Another player who fell out with Seven Hag, nothing new
What happened? Missed it.
Why did Sheffield United sack their manager?
They were hecking bottom.
Downvote this please.
Downvote this please.
Aye aye sir. Done.
....Dad?
Every team so far has conceded on average 1 goal per game minimum.
Except one.
We are massive.
That Haaland photo is going to be used in memes forever.
Ole was actually better than Seven Hag lol
His record vs City is good. Decent European record as well
How does it feel? Waking up and knowing we are one of the best teams in Europe :)
Surreal tbh. What's weird is other teams just look mid. You watch other games (PSG, Madrid) and they honestly look like Villa to me.
Arteta really did raise the standards and I couldn't be more grateful.
I really used to pray for days like these.
Just watched this absolute gem😂😂 so glad our boss will never allow this happen from any of our players. https://youtu.be/hQxcbTBoOzM?si=fuXDaEmHA456xzsB
You know its bad when even their own fanbase is calling him out.
Lyon have an Irish CB called O'Brien. I dunno why this is funny to me 😂
Both our goals were class, but the second goal was a football fan goal and the first was for gunners. Saka seemed to be instructed by Arteta to take on a double marking, and to use Jesus and/or Odegaard for tight interplay.
I have a feeling this squad is going to create the next generation of young players growing up being Arsenal fans worldwide.
During the Wenger years it seemed every kid anywhere who eventually turned pro grew up loving either Arsenal or Real Madrid.
And some of the the squad are those kids. Saliba and Zinchenko for sure, we've seen the photos. Who else?
Have to back it up with something major at least.
The next generation of clusters would probably be a fan Liverpool and Man City, we have to be in the mix sooner. Real Madrid is included by default, they fan generations will always be around regardless of the era.
Mods what’s the deal with pre match threads? Haven’t seen a proper one in ages.
Just commuting to work on the metro in Tokyo and noticed this lady's socks in front of me. Resisting the urge to trip her, I waltzed past and told her to "mind the gap" in Japanese. In hindsight, she might have thought I was talking about the gap between the platform and the train... Which would explain the puzzled look on her face 😅
Cash, Digne and Luiz one yellow from suspension and face City on Wednesday.
Let's hope for a violent game which lead to City dropping points and to soften up Villa on the weekend.
Random fact: PSV currently have 14-0-0 record in dutch league with 50-6 GD.
