‘Having read the indictment, these are very serious allegations,’ Mr Pence told The Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Board on Tuesday

Sure... and I guarantee you 15 minutes later he will be praising trump and talking about what a great president he was. "sure, he tried to get me and my family killed but he was a tremendous president, a great president...."

Pence is a weasel.

Genuinely will depend on the audience he has in front of him. Absolute coward.

Remember when trump insulted Cruz wife? Cruz went on to shit talk him at the RNC, only to turn around and bend the knee. Sad.

I just can't see how clinging onto power like that makes sense. He's been actively mortally threatened by the people he called friends and supporters. Yet he still stays with them. How can anyone be so spineless. It's crazy how weak they all are.

Do you know the cartoon gif of the cat with a sandwich strapped to its belly that just spins forever in space and will never hit the ground? That’s basically Mike Pence, the ultimate flip flopper.

Pence knows what he testified during the Jan 6 investigation, and I’m guessing what he told that grand jury means Trump is utterly fucked from his testimony alone.

So my guess is he is right now doing his best to bury Trump in public opinion for these early charges first, well before the Jan 6 findings come out and he really cops the blame for fucking over Trump later on (lest those pesky MAGA terrorists try and hang him, again).

@audiostatic82 Back in my day we'd call this "flip-flopping". John Kerry lost an election partly from being labeled as one! 🩴

I didn’t know Pence could read…

But seriously, the only reason he’s slightly turning on trump is because he’s also running. If he wasn’t running, I assume he’d be cheerleading for him (which is so weird since trump’s people wanted to kill him on Jan. 6).

The town halls have been hilarious to watch. Chris Christie just laying down suppressing fire on Trump. Meanwhile Pence, a man who Trump nearly had publicly executed, gives the most mild admonishments. I remember when Pence was afraid to get into a USSS car because he didn't know the driver and thought they might be taking him to be quietly assassinated . How do you even stay in the same party after that?

Sheer stupidity is the only thing I can think of. Rather than thinking of parties, I'd just get out of politics altogether, but maybe folks like Pence are just in too deep to be able to escape.
