Odegaards goal yesterday is the perfect demonstration of why we haven’t been as fluid this season. Teams are now aware that if they don’t have enough players behind the ball we will carve them open with ease like we did with that goal yesterday. if you watch back some of Tomi's highlights from the 2021-2022 season, he was devastating in attack at RB. his lung busting runs to support counterattacks like Lacazette's goal against Southampton, or his assist for Martinelli against Newcastle are all quality.

Martinelli needs to score more goals like the one he got yesterday in the future. For all the amazing quality he has, that is the one type of move that he hasn’t been doing enough for us. Whether it’s tactical or not idk, but I feel like he can be too reluctant to take that shot and prefers to beat a fullback for a cutback/cross.

I went in expecting to be amazed by him and he didn't really impress me that much. They compared Jesus' stats with him and Jesus really stands out in terms of all around play. Osimhen was just top bracket shots and aerially but Jesus wasn't a million miles of him in those areas. Jesus was miles ahead in all other aspects.

Watching him was very similar to watching Darwin Nunez's scouting video at Benfica. Lots of shots but some bad touches and head down when he could pass to a player in a better position...

All the media noise around Villa and asking if they can make Top 4 is pretty patronizing, IMO. They were rampant at the back end of last season and their squad is more functional than say United or currently depleted Spurs.

Of course they’re in the Top 4 conversation- above United and Spurs. ETH is scraping results together via hero ball and Ange has no clue when teams don’t immediately capitulate to his game plan.
