I need to either replace my office chair or replace it's wheels - they're killing my wood floors when the chair moves off the mat.
Amazon is now an abyss of sponsored listings and fake reviews and algorithms - so I'm unable to get good feedback on a solution.
I've heard that the skateboard style replacements are good - but too rolly, leading to unwanted movement.
Any suggestions on replacements that have worked for you?

I have a set of rollerblade style wheels and they worked well when I was using them on hardwood floors. Like another commenter said, they are very rolly, so you'll probably want a set that can lock at least a few wheels if you decide to go with them. If you're in the US I found these on Amazon that might work ok, but unfortunately the ones I bought have been delisted.

Edit: grammar

I bought the roller blade wheels and can confirm they were very rolly. I couldn't stay in a comfortable position. Maybe there's a pad you could buy to reduce the rolliness.

I ended up going with these. It sucks not being able to roll, but at least I can keep my chair in a comfortable spot, and I'm not scratching the floor up.

@yarn interesting idea. Are they a little slidey? Or not really?
