Before y'all ask, I'm not american, I'm mexican.

The reason of why I'm asking this question in this subreddit it's because my (corrupt and horrible) president AMLO has prometing us many times in these 6 years of his (awful) goverment that we gonna have a good healthcare system as the danish one.

As you can imagine.....We're SO far from having at least a decent healthcare system like the european countries, so, after this explication, I want to ask you:

How good do you think it's your healthcare system?

What do you think yout sytem fails and in what ways?

Did you have only good experiences or you had a bad experience with it?

I would really blessed to read your answers :)

A lot of Danes in a nutshell that actually get good service? I’m sorry you’ve had bad experiences but that does not mean there aren’t good ones. My previous GP was an idiot. My current one does an excellent job. Have the hospital mad mistakes with all the things that have been wrong with my son, yes, but overall it’s been a good experience.

Could everything be better? Yes of cause.

It’s not that people have good experiences, I don’t doubt that, but more-so a lot of people thinking things work almost flawlessly when that doesn’t necessarily hold true - especially if you don’t come from a home without a lot of resources (monetary or otherwise).

It may be better than a lot of other countries, but it is a far cry from the idea a lot (note: not all) of Danes have of our healthcare system in my experience. From other chronically ill people I’ve talked to, it seems that unless they can plop you directly into a box it’s difficult to get the help you need. I don’t believe it’s the fault of medical providers, but I do see it as a possible structural issue.

But again, that’s just my (and other chronically ill people I know’s) experience.
