I got admission in Southern Denmark University Sonderborg campus I've few questions. Will i be able to get some work in order to meet my monthly expenses in Sonderborg? As a Non EU I'll only have 20 hours a week. Also I've to pay my 3rd semester fee as I got 50% scholarship will i be able to save enough money to pay my 3rd semester fee which is around 7000€.

It's possible to get a job, even as a english-speaking foreigner. Sønderborg is the most international student city in Denmark, relatively speaking - not in absolute numbers.

Lot of the restaurants and bars use international students in their staff, like lazy-dog, bella italia, fox and hounds, slidrs, mcdonalds, burger king, burger concept, lola, marcellos, æ bræt etc.

I cant comment on how hard the competition for the jobs are though.

I really appreciate that. If you know anyone living in Sonderborg so that i can get the idea of what's the actual situation living in Sonderborg and how's day to day life

I grew up in the Area and went to school there for most of my life, so i have an OK idea of what's going on there, but havent lived there for 6 years or so at this point.

u/svenons started studying there last year iirc, maybe he can be of help with the current situation.

I'm moving out of my country for the first time so I'm kinda skeptical and want to confirm every possible situation first before i move out because i don't know anyone in Denmark

You're eligible for student housing, which is usually cheap rent controlled housing, and they prioritize assigning to to international students over local/danish students iirc.

But as others have mentioned, you cannot rely on having a job from day 1, so it's a good idea to have a decent amount saved to help you get by while you're getting settled and sort everything out.
