Thanks for replying. Funnily enough, I bought Bass Boomers three days ago because I couldn't find the roundcores anywhere. And while I do like the feel that you are describing, my A and G string are both dead after maybe 6 hours of playing only. Like crazily muted compared to the other two. I'm not impressed to be honest but I might still try a set of roundcores if I can find some somewhere else than on Amazon.
And maybe the issue with the DR was that HI-beams are stainless. In my exprerience those are just like you describe. That's why I was interested in the Sunbeams which are nickel. The roundcore part is also what I'm mostly interested in hearing about. But thanks anyway for your response.
