Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.
Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

I'm not sure whether it's Jerboa, Lemmy, or both, but the they seem to be ignoring the metadata embedded in the image that indicates what rotation to use. It can be avoided by stripping the metadata and rotating the image the way you want it to appear. There are plenty of free apps (like GIMP) that can do it easily enough.
It is a nuisance, but a relatively minor one, once you know what's going on.
I have to admit that this has been happening on reddit as well a few times.. But this happens all the time on Lemmy tho..
