why am i having trouble creating a community? (lemmy.ml)

I have been using the website and instance Lemmy.ml to make a community but every time I presstehe create button it just gives an unending loading animation. Am i doing something wrong?

Be sure to only use lowercase, and no underscores. The UI warning about this is broken.

How long is it meant to take for the community to be created. Its doing the same thing

Wait that's on lemmy.ml? Sorry, I missed that part. I think they don't allow users to make coms, you may need to ask admins. I saw a thread to suggest new coms.
