Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Can you recommend websites, videos or challenges that help to learn Linux system administration? Something like the Linux Upskill Challenge or Bash challenges on hackerrank.com

If OP wants to learn admin stuff, why use docker for pihole? The install script is already very easy to use

OP would probably learn a lot more from using the install script and running "pihole -up" command once in a while

I remember my first rocker adventures. I was furious at it, it seemed so weird and complicated.

I felt like a 1337 haxxor when I got a shell in a docker container and hacked around something that would not be stored outside the container in any way.
