The first season of the anime adaptation can be found on Netflix. Season 2 is confirmed and presumably currently in production.

DO NOT SPOIL THE ANIME WATCHERS

This is so that the anime watchers can sub to the community without worry of seeing posts that would spoil later parts of the story. This includes manga pages and panels, mentioning characters, fanart, etc.

Parent instance rules also apply, of course.

Dungeon Meshi is a well liked manga, and an adaptation by Studio Trigger is now airing. If you haven't picked this one up, consider joining us. Both for fun and as a way of contributing to activity on Lemmy.

HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT!

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE PAINTING CHAPTER! THIS EPISODE IS FULL OF LORE, GUYS!

Let's hear your theories on what the past events in the paintings are about, and what significance the people in them had.

The gang has some trouble finding food, but things work out before long. Laios learns that despite being the party leader, he is the youngest. Marcille is a round 50, while Senshi is 112. That leaves Laios at 26, three years younger than Chilchuck.

Remember not to spoil anything if you're a manga reader, but feel free to elaborate on tidbits of lore that may not be coming through in the adaptation.

It's like he has always been this weird, but his normal facade is crumbling away a little bit more each episode. It's a lot of fun. Even Chilchuck didn't want to trigger his weirdness by mentioning the mimic.

More like Falyn was always around to "translate" his oddities to let the caring person he is come through, but now he is on his own, and struggles with keeping his monster-geekdom from seeming callous, at times.
