Somewhat uninformed comment. Grads will still get hired. They don’t account for much of the costs annually. 800 layoffs signifies a change to the overall operating model- and organization.

of course, but it was just remarkable to see it being advertised so much, I haven't seen any other company doing it lately.

If you stop hiring for the future you are done. Also, graduates are quite cheap in wages ;-)
