If we want free speech that means we must allow everybody to say what they have to say! If media says he is so crazy and bad , why not let him show this to the world and why legacy media wants to cancel him? Let’s see what he has to say. Why are western countries so afraid?

Putin has always been allowed to speak his mind. He in fact did so before launching the "special military operation." He has declined every interview with Western journalists for the last two years. He has ALWAYS had the opportunity to speak his mind. The "interview" is nothing short of propaganda aimed to gain both Putin and Tucker Carlson popularity - answering why legacy media is cancelling him. Lastly, I'm not saying he should not be allowed to interview Putin, or that Putin should not be able to express himself freely, so the whole free speech thing is absurd to bring up.

Our media portrays plenty of what Putin says. It's not like he's censored in the West in any way, but there's quite a difference between reporting on what he says and puttin a domestic microphone to his head for his propaganda.

It has nothing to do with free speech in the slightest, and it's solely in bad faith to even imply that it is.

Putin has complete control over everything in Russia, there is nothing he can’t say because he is the one that decides who gets to speak, anyone that displeases him is put in jail or murdered.

What exactly is it that this interview will allow him to say that he can’t already with the entire Russian press at his command?
