You’d think a highly profitable company like Apple wouldn’t do this, but yet they do. Absolutely abhorrent

Someone did the math, and this was more profitable.
Large corporations will almost always do whatever it takes to make $1.05 instead of $1.00.
I’m aware of how cold and soulless the system is. It is just that you’d assume the person making the decisions isn’t a robot.
Humans made this decision. This is not "the system". It's greedy people.
