When I tell people I've never seen the Lion King they are really baffled by that.

strongly recommend watching the Wire. its in a different league to the other three.

One of my favorites, but I will concede that it's not for everyone. Those I've met that don't like it usually complains that the pacing is slow and the plot is too convoluted and vague.

I was one of those. when I finally went back it was because I had grown and realized that stories which take their time usually pay off. also idk how people are getting convoluted and vague, the plot is tight (in all senses of the word).

In a rewatch right now. Rhetorically only but:

  • why was the cop at a gay bar?
  • why are Prez and 8th graders running the season I’m in now
  • why did Dee’s mom let McNulty just keeeeeeep going in that convo at the police station
  • I get the poetic justice when a couple of people turn on each other without the other knowing toward the end of season 3 but those characters are likely to have never done that, let alone both find out about the other’s betrayal
  • Kima and Broadus are gold

I want a The Wire x Star Wars crossover where Bubbles and R2-D2 are the protagonists in a buddy cop flick.
