Hi, I'm a 23 year old guy, first time dad to a 5 month old boy.\n\nI have always been really active and involved in sport, martial arts, hiking, etc.\n\n5 months ago, I started doing MTB, and it's really given me a depth of interest in life I never knew I had.\n\nI started testing the waters a little bit more, joining a local MTB club, participating in a local MTB race course.\n\nIt finally came together for me, I was riding well, and my wife was having a blast, so we decided to test drive it together.\n\nWe:\nGot a car rental, and a trailer park.\n\nDay 1. Start day.\n\n-My first night in the car - my buddy is a badass, and ready to go 100% for this -\n-First night with the little guy in the car - he's screaming and happy, and I'm thinking "you've really got to drive this"\n-First night in the back seat, a normal dad experience, getting his sleep needed, and the boys are happy...\n\n-We finally get to the destination, the race track. We make it to the starting line, it's an awesome start, but it's not what I expected. I felt a bit flat, and a bit tired, and the guys were blaming each other, but I knew that this was a good opportunity for me, the first time dad of a 5 month old.\n\n\n-My buddy does a great job with the boys in the car, and is doing a great job with them on the track. He has a lot of confidence in himself because he has been through a lot, and he is going to continue to do a great job.\n\n-My wife and I are very happy with the way the weekend went. We went out, had a tonne of fun, and were home by 8pm. We had a good night of sleep and were ready for the day.\n\n-Today was my son's 4th birthday. My older brother is coming over to watch him, my younger brother is coming over just to take him home, and I'm just so happy that all of our children are happy and healthy.\n\n-I'm sure a lot of people don't like me for this, but I'm just really proud of what I have achieved so far.
