I'm glad, this sets a good precedent for creators prioritizing their craft over their fame. Bit sad tho, really liked him, but I don't think much will change for their channels.

What? When has MatPat EVER put his craft ahead of fame and money? I haven't watched in forever, but I recall him churning out content almost as if he were an LLM.

that seems to be what he's trying to set up, keep the channels still in their niche while personally departing. I'm genuinely happy for him prioritizing himself over fame, but it's sad to see such a big name step away.
