I’m interested to see reviews from actual users of this thing. Seems like a very neat idea. $350 is wayyyyyy too much for me, but if I can get one for $100-$150 some day and they’re decent, I’d definitely consider it
I have a hard time believing the pixel density is going to be high enough for this to be any good.
I can certainly see the appeal, I have dodgy hands and struggle to hold anything larger than a phone for any length of time, which isn’t ideal for reading. If the glasses could hold it for me, that’s excellent.
My big concern though is the lack of refresh rate on eink, meaning the text is just going to be in front of you at all times. My own experiences in VR confirm that moving your head whilst your vision does update even just by a little bit = 🤢
Yeah, same experience here for sure. Although e-ink doesn't really have a refresh rate since it's static until you change it. So I'm not really sure how that plays out. We haven't seen any images of what the user experience is going to be like inside the headset, but I'm kinda just assuming a black screen with white(ish) text. No virtual room or theater or anything like other VR experiences, so there shouldn't really be any motion to worry about
