Aha. I didn't try to not race the cub. The playthrough I saw, he raced it and managed to save it, so I thought I should do it that way.
Next playthrough though, I'll have owl cub for sure
Glad I could help. You’ll absolutely love the cub for the final fight. Dammon gives him a few gifts.
Also here is a tip I just remembered if you want to catch the cub during the chicken chase. Just go into turn based mode and you'll be able to catch him by dashing once.
