Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Damn straight. Freedom is vastly more important than people's efforts to obtain a pretense of security.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

That why you lot are so willing to sacrifice everyone else's freedom to expect to not be blown away while grocery shopping all so you can have the false pretense of security menacing the public with a security blanket rifle gives you?

[–] [email protected] -1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I'm not doing any of that. You are choosing to be afraid, when you have the freedom to choose not to live in fear because it's never going to happen to you or anybody you know, statistically.

Enjoy your freedom instead of being afraid to live.

You're the one who can't leave their house without a security blanket rifle to menace everyone else with scaredy.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 11 months ago (2 children)

Nope, that's something you made up in your head about me. Most of the time I go out with zero guns and 1 knife, and I go wherever I want without fear because America is generally very safe.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I leave the house with a knife

I am not scared

🤡

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

What, you don't have a knife? You go out without the most useful tool that can fit in your pockets that can do 1000 tasks? That's just dumb.

You fucking morons look at any kind of weapon or tool being carried as a personal threat apparently, but I'm the one you think is scared?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 10 months ago

You can't carry knives in Australia for protection. And I'm glad you can't, imagine those nutters you see on the streets, but this time with a blade?

If it were legal I might carry one around, solely because other people could have one and I might need it. As it stands we're all relatively knifeless, and it makes us a lot more relaxed and jovial. A late night argument is just that, shit talk. It doesn't end in someone bleeding to death because we all carry weapons.

[–] [email protected] -1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Most people don't need a knife to feel safe either dumbass

[–] [email protected] 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I don't "need" anything to feel safe, you dipshit. I carry a knife everywhere because it's an extremely useful tool to have on a daily basis and I use it very frequently for numerous things.

You sure are stuck in the fear-based mindset. Must be a sad way to live.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Yeah sure linus, have fun with the security blanket.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago

I'm just going to assume that you're like the human equivalent of a toy poodle, in terms of adult life skills and general usefulness, if you can't see the basic utility of having a pocketknife with you.
