A debate is currently occurring about if it would be better to scrap VAR now of risk people turning off the sport due to time delays and bizarre decisions VAR Is making.

Refusing to use modern technology to help make correct the correct call on the field would cost the league far more. Fans will always complain regardless of who makes the call.
