https://amzn.to/47AJmOg its only gen 3 speeds but still something like this cost an arm and a leg when i bought one for my desktop. And apparently gen 3 is better for battery life anyway.

I have a theory about this, that we're about to enter a new era of storage of RAM. Similarly to when we moved from HDD TO SSD. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next year or two we have something new.

I don't really think that's coming up that soon the m.2 form factor still has room to grow. Most likely gen 5 will just become more affordable.

You have RAM in an M.2 form factor?

This would be refreshing. We are currently stretching the real world usefulness of RAM because the relative speed of RAM has decreased with everything around it. RAM improvements would be most welcome IMO.

Currently, I still think it is the programs that have to catch up and get updated. Ram speeds have doubled but the speeds are not being utilized by most programs. At least thats what I've heard.
