We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time (tm) ). Along the way we have sought out like-minded individuals to exchange strategies, war stories, and cautionary tales of failures.

5TB HDD Advice for Optiplex Micro (alien.top)

I have Optiplex 3060 Micro with 1 NVME drive and there was 2 TB External drive (Seagate backup plus shucked) which died today. I'm looking for 5 TB HDD option which could be used for below usage :-

Device would be used as Media Server / Torrenting
Device would be running 24x7
It does not have any critical data
Don't need super fast drive 100 MB speed is good enough
Its mostly going to be torrenting and view via plex.
All services runs from NVME

Since the device does not have space for 3.5 HDD im stucked with 2.5 inch drives. I'm open to explore external drive as well internal drive.
