I plan to use with optiplex 3060 and need drive for long term seed which means continuous read though the read would be only for few kb

Earlier I had seagate external drive shucked but they died after using for 1 year 24*7

5TB HDD Advice for Optiplex Micro (alien.top)
 

I have Optiplex 3060 Micro with 1 NVME drive and there was 2 TB External drive (Seagate backup plus shucked) which died today. I'm looking for 5 TB HDD option which could be used for below usage :-

  • Device would be used as Media Server / Torrenting
  • Device would be running 24x7
  • It does not have any critical data
  • Don't need super fast drive 100 MB speed is good enough
  • Its mostly going to be torrenting and view via plex.
  • All services runs from NVME

Since the device does not have space for 3.5 HDD im stucked with 2.5 inch drives. I'm open to explore external drive as well internal drive.
