CPU Cooling problems: Just like 95C is normal for Ryzen, 100C is normal for Intel CPUs in many workloads. If you're worried about CPU temperatures, please look at reviews for the laptop or CPU cooler you're using.

Should I upgrade to the 14700k from the 9700k? or wait until gen 15? (alien.top)

I've been using a 9700k since 2018 and am thinking about upgrading. I got a 3090 a bit ago and the 9700k is obviously bottlenecking what I can get out of it. Should I wait another year or upgrade soon?

You'll absolutely be shocked by how much faster it will be. I went from 9900k to 14700k and I was.

I was going to wait but didn't think it was worth dealing with new teething issues of the 15th gen chips and accompanying boards. Also didnt want to be forced to a new a new OS. Very happy with Windows 10.
