Nobody cares about how customers abuse their boards. PCB industry has its own standards, called IPCxxxx. As long as the boards fit those standards, I can't see any blames to be put on WD's head. It is the users who subject excessive stresses on those boards.

Ok I'll bite you just bought this SSD and want to use it to fill it up and move the data elsewhere. Where is the expensive stress?

Ah yes, the customers who put these in their computers and don't touch them again before they die are surely at fault.
