I can't imagine why you'd want to put a mobile device OS on a PC, it would be like running android on a PC.
Proton works great as it is.
I would think it's for people who want to leave their PC hooked up to their PC and use it exclusively as a gaming console
There are Android deployed for the TV. One could say "what about an android TV capable to run AAA games" and the answer would be "console": then you get where things are going.
