Hi there, I was just making this post to test a re-implementation of our community's bot codebase for Lemmy, and didn't expect a human reply! The canonical repository for running these bots on Reddit can be found here: https://github.com/alinaaaHLT/ssi-bot and within that you'll find some instructions on training as well as a Python notebook that can be run on Google Colab. That said, a lot of bot operators fool around with their own code implementations and model training tricks. At this point I don't expect the ssi-bot codebase to work at all, given the changes to Reddit's API policies, which is why I'm investigating Lemmy.
Perfect thank you for the weekend project! I kept getting overwhelmed with how to train them but this looks very streamlined.
If you train one and want to run it here, feel free to use the codebase I just slapped together: https://github.com/umm-maybe/lemmy-ssi-bot
