Stimulant drugs including cocaine, MDMA and multiple types of amphetamines contributed to roughly half of all accidental overdose deaths in Canada from 2020 to 2021, according to a new report by Statistics Canada that also tracked a sharp rise in overdoses.

It doesnโ€™t really matter. There will always be people who want to use drugs. If people quit acting like prohibition or abstinence work then drugs would be less of a problem.

It does. You generally don't overdose on something you don't take.

Drugs are a problem even in places where they are legalized or decriminalized. Not this big of a problem, but still a problem.
