Auch wenn einige jetzt sagen werden, Matrix gehört doch gar nicht zum Fediverse; ich glaube nicht, dass nur AP als Fediverse bezeichnet werden kann/sollte. Der Artikel ist aber wirklich informativ, daher wollte ich in einmal teilen.

Matrix ist ein Protokoll, genauso wie ActivityPub. Synapse ist wohl der bekannteste Server für Matrix und Element als Client. Das ein wenig so wie Mastodon wohl die bekannteste Software für ActivityPub ist. Mir ist bisher keine andere Software bekannt, aber mit dem Protokoll könnte man sicher auch einen Bloggingdienst wie Mastodon abbilden.
