Nice to see something impressive done with a ping pong ball on the internet that isn't NSFW.

That machine is impressive though. If it's a preprogrammed sequence that's great, but if it's got sensors to monitor and adapt on the fly its even more impressive.

For sure has sensors. He grabbed the ping pong ball at the beginning and threw it pretty randomly onto the plate. Would be pretty unlikely that that was part of a pre-programmed sequence.

Even if it had been thrown on a known trajectory, there's no way you stay stable that long without control feedback

First half of that comment got 1.5 eyebrow raises out of me.

Was definitely thinking the same about sensors or programming though. Would’ve loved to see the end.

What tf sites are you usually on?

But seriously, which ones?

That machine is impressive though. If it's a preprogrammed sequence that's great, but if it's got sensors to monitor and adapt on the fly its even more impressive.

These machines are usually made to test/learn control systems, so everything is controlled dynamically by a PID or some other controller.
