thoughts on kick and twitch streaming? (lemmy.fmhy.ml)

So theres a new streaming service on the block called kick its kind alike twitch but not? ive never really cared about those type of thing sbut someday i think i want to make gmaing content but idk, im not even sure what to do right now.

anyways what are you thoughts on twitch and kick? also feel free to add stuff too that you feel is needed.

Kick was made using the Twitch source code leak, so their backends are very similar. I'm not sure about Kick's monitization, but if you're doing them for fun, then it may not matter.

If you're doing it for money, then using them for making footage for youtube may be a better strategy (double dipping kinda)

i would rather do it for fun and to giv eme goals/motivation to do things also maybe a tiny bit for money. i have a kinda low-end laptop and i hav ea bunch of fans blowing cold air all around me also family too, so idk if i should start or not?
