I'm in laguardia rn waiting for a flight and it rocks! super clean and nice with lots of space and amenities. yet every ny native seems to dunk on it? what's the deal with that?

It used to be a dump but they've been slowly turning it around over the years with a lot of construction. I personally still wish they had better food options. But it does feel like a fairly modern clean airport now, just sometimes it is a bit of a ghost town depending when your flight is. Their flight selection isn't as good. Newark and JFK is usually going to have the better international and cross-country flight options.

The main problem with Laguardia is they don't have enough space/land. It runs like a finely oiled machine, but the second something goes wrong, it just causes a brutal domino effect. Newark and JFK have many more runways, gates, etc, so they can adapt when there is an issue.

So yeah, Laguardia looks nice now but when your flight gets delayed it still feels like hell on earth.

Couldn’t agree more, well said! It isn’t always about how nice it looks but actually how functional it is for the customers.
