this is definitely a symptom of the differences but acting like it's somehow a weakness of lemmy that it's not brand friendly is insane. that's a strength! also,

I was particularly annoyed by
condescending as fuck.
This is exactly what Reddit was to Facebook/Instagram/Twitter for years. I remember watching huge YouTubers go from "what's Reddit?" to "I'll be answering questions from the subreddit" and it was a slow, painful process. As long as people keep showing and posting it'll grow.
I used to think like this too, but with Reddit Apps moving over to Lemmy I find real potential and usability here. It won't happen overnight, but the chances are not nil.
