That damn Melbourne community has posts with 400+ comments. Honestly, what is going on here?

It's the middle of winter, so I know we're all still surfing and drinking in the beer gardens while they have nothing to do but chatter while they freeze their nuts off, but still...put some damn effort in people.

I was having a look through one of their daily threads, and there was a bunch of active /r/melbourne people that were basically saying they had migrated to lemmy. They were contacting each other on reddit (PM I guess) and then just joining up.

Mass migration lol. So they 3 times more subscribers and seems like these were the core of /r/melbourne.
