In my view, this is not sad. It's just that education needs to incorporate parts of these new technologies into it. Technology is the future if education still wants you to write with a pen on paper then they are being outdated pretty fast.

Some of them are. My former high school/trade school redesigned their library from half books half computers to one third books one third computers one third "fab lab". 3D printing, laser etching, poster printing equipment etc.

There are some programs that focus on operating stuff like that but any student can use the library stuff no matter the skillset they are learning. I wish I had it when I was there!
