Does kbin take advantage of image caching? Pages seem to newly load images each time the page is reloaded (kbin.social)

I might not know what I'm talking about, but if they were cached on my browser I'd see them load instantly after loading once, right? But they take a bit to load each time when viewed on opera mobile.
Seems like a good way to reduce server costs?

I noticed this on Firefox mobile but not on Chromium mobile. In my case it includes profile pictures and the logo at the top of the page too.
