And this is the beauty of the fediverse right here: an instance decides it doesn't want some specific content doesn't mean the community dies. It just lives on on another instance.
Once these services can operate on the darknet like I2P (which supports anonymous torrenting btw), then things might really pick up steam.
Yeah you just need to create an account on another instance, hope it doesn't get blocked there too or the instance doesn't block other stuff you want, migrate your stuff...
Meanwhile on reddit: spez sez u blokked --> that's it
But what is the difference here? You can create another acc on reddit too, it's just less annoying than trying to find an instance that works with all your communities.
If Reddit removes the Community, it is gone for good.
