The officials in Ukraine’s partner countries have become increasingly aware of the growing unrealism of their initial expectations for the Ukrainian counteroffensive, no longer anticipating major progress on the battlefield by autumn and fearing a “blame game” on Ukraine’s part.

I think you're confusing Ukrainian and russian pravda

Then Ukrainian Pravda is just as bad. The Americans are not “afraid” of Russia. There is a difference between not wanting to escalate this to direct NATO involvement (which we all know would go nuclear) and being “afraid”. Ukraine will not win friends in the west by snide comments and innuendo.
