US Senator Lindsay Graham has just tweeted an article titled “Greta Thunberg sets sail with Gaza flotilla that aims to break Israeli naval blockade,” adding the comment, “Hope Greta and her friends can swim!”

Australian Zionist think tanker Arsen Ostrovsky somehow outdid Graham, tweeting “Oh look, the little jihadi Greta Thunberg is trying to get into Gaza, to show solidarity with Hamas. It would be so sad if something were to happen to her flotilla…”

There’s not a lot that can shock me about Israel and its supporters these days. But if you’d traveled back in time a few years ago it would be hard to explain to someone how we got to a timeline that includes Israel supporters openly advocating the assassination of Greta Thunberg.

More women and children killed in Gaza by Israeli military than any other recent conflict in a single year – Oxfam

Keep in mind that the Gaza genocide targets a far smaller population than the Russian invasion of Ukraine. And even then Russia isn't even close in absolute numbers. Let alone percentual numbers.

... Over the past two decades

Not to make light of this, but it's an important distinction that should have been added to the title as it makes the difference between "yeah, that's horrible" and "yeah that doesn't sound right"

Israel killed more civilians in the first two months after October 7th than Russia had in two years of war

I don't mean to equate the situations, they are completely different (I wrote a reply above about that just now). In Ukraine you don't have an ongoing genocide of a small population with no army on a small piece of land about which all of the west is lying while giving weapons to Russia. I was only pointing out that the aggressors in both cases are rabidly genocidal and medieval in their actions and goals.

Keep in mind that Gaza's population density is one of the highest in the world and that Hamas is hiding behind the civilians and thinks it's a good thing when people die[0], and that Hamas is a death cult. That kind of combination is bound to ramp up the casualties.

Ukraine, in stark contrast, is trying to save its civilians.

Hamas is hiding behind the civilians

Funny how Israel cannot present any evidence of that after 2 years of genocide.
