Israel's Backers Are Now Advocating The Assassination Of Greta Thunberg (www.caitlinjohnst.one)

US Senator Lindsay Graham has just tweeted an article titled “Greta Thunberg sets sail with Gaza flotilla that aims to break Israeli naval blockade,” adding the comment, “Hope Greta and her friends can swim!”

Australian Zionist think tanker Arsen Ostrovsky somehow outdid Graham, tweeting “Oh look, the little jihadi Greta Thunberg is trying to get into Gaza, to show solidarity with Hamas. It would be so sad if something were to happen to her flotilla…”

There’s not a lot that can shock me about Israel and its supporters these days. But if you’d traveled back in time a few years ago it would be hard to explain to someone how we got to a timeline that includes Israel supporters openly advocating the assassination of Greta Thunberg.

This is the kind of supremacist thinking that I've heard from some friends who have vested interest in Israel. It's reproduced nearly identically by each one. The conclusions that follow from it are unacceptable for most people outside of Israel.

According to YouGov as of today in Europe:

only between 13% and 21% of respondents in any country polled had a favourable view of Israel, compared with 63%-70% whose views were unfavourable.

If you think only 13-21% in these countries are right wing, you're sorely mistaken. This isn't a righ-left divide even if there tends to be more support for Israel among the right. This is a society-wide rejection of the results of this supremacist thinking. Just look at one of the strongest supporters of Israel - Germany. There was a drastic increase in support following Oct 7, undoubtedly driven by solidarity with Israel. Then the war effort erased all of it and dropped support by 40 points.

I don't know, possibly because it's correct? If you think I am in some group to spread these opinions, I'm assuming you're some NPC. If anything, I've seen plenty of Muhammadian echo chambers more than Israelis, who are a global minority.

I'm not a right-winger and I don't care about their views. My support for Israel is not supremacist, it's a support for people who know how to mind their business. And no, I'm not taking the majority view to be right. If everyone jumps into a well, I won't. I'd follow what my brain thinks is right.

Besides, everyone wants peace until some idiot comes and attacks them. Plenty of brats in wealthy countries accuse soldiers of being terrorists, without realizing they helped them live in peace. Especially more so in this TikTok and ChatGPT era, where people have 0 attention span.

Jews are an actually respectable and safe people unlike the Muhammadians.

This is a supremacist belief and the conclusions following from it cannot be accepted by most because we know they lead to atrocities as they have in the past and as they do as we speak.

I'm not trying to convince you not to think that. I know where it comes from and I know I can't. I'm just telling you how and why this is read and understood by those that don't think it, and why they won't accept it.
