If that's where she lives, then she's been abandoned. Those are the best little friends. When they've had a home and lost it, they appreciate their new home so much, they'll show their gratitude every day.

Get her checked for a microchip, and if she's clear, take her in. You won't be sorry.

Yeah I feel like she was abandoned. She showed up about 9 months ago. We have a lot of college students that just abandon pets when they leave. I’ve found a hamster and a ferret on separate occasions as well.

It took me 2 months to get this cat to let me pet her. She’s almost came inside but she saw my dog and son and said nope.

Keep trying. Introduce the others slowly. If she won't come in, give her a nice house outside where she can escape from bad weather and scary creatures. An upside down Rubbermaid container makes a good start.

I will keep up the good fight. I’ve been looking into outside cat boxes lately because it gets cold here.

In the winter, she'll probably want to come in, but you can buy Styrofoam sheet insulation at Home Depot, and cut it, and shape it to cover the Rubbermaid container and keep her a little warmer. Or buy a big Styrofoam cooler, and cut a door into it. Line it with straw or hay, not a blanket, which could get wet and freeze.
