I adore these creatures but having observed them outside my home for over two years I have come to the realisation that they're quite silly.

Please explain the silliness

Well they can fly yet live on the ground, lay their eggs on the ground, raise their young on the ground.

But the very silly part is, you can throw a handful of chicken towards them for instance, one will pick a piece up and even though there's like 15 pieces of chicken to choose from one of them will constantly simply chase another one that has a piece in its mouth. I'm assuming it's a younger one that hasn't worked things out yet but it's frustrating to witness.

Also they just sit in silly places at times. I was helping a mate earlier in the week at his house and there was one just sat next to a pile of concrete next to the cement mixer. Oh and they don't seem to seek shelter in the pissing down rain.

So yeah, bit silly.
