Lots of "manslaughter" and "involuntary manslaughter" in there. Firing a weapon hardly seems like "no intent to kill."
I looked at Erik Hernandez and only him, and I found out they originally charged him with second-degree murder, and after the whole trial it was the jury that couldn't decide.

I don't know how it lead from there to him pleading to manslaughter, but that's what happened. They charged him with murder (which sounds like the right charge).
