I think about this little tile in hotels a lot. It can never be the star of the show, but it can ruin the whole install. This little guy is barely hanging on. (sh.itjust.works)

He's adequately square, but the dumbass that set him didn't quite push him flush. Most hotel showers have this problem. Sorry not sorry you will see this in every hotel room ever now.

I had a couple of friends who work on hotel renovations. A crew would go in and work on 4-6 rooms at a time. They would have each one at a slightly different stage and rotate in new rooms when they finished a room. The schedule was intense. Basically as fast as the last stage could dry they were applying the next one. Rooms took less than a week and that included carpet, walls, a complete bathroom reno.
