From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

So like the title says, I just want to appreciate how good ubuntu+xfce (xubuntu) is. I love the simplicity & how lightweight this distro. There's no bloat on minimal install, to the point I need to install the essential tools like task manager, music player, image viewer & xarchiver myself lol.

Nvidia driver installed without any problem, I can switch from on demand & performance mode flawlesly using nvidia x server. I also can make L2TP vpn working on xubuntu, dunno why but I'm having problem when using it on debian & win 11.

I'll try using xubuntu as my daily driver. Wish I'll never facing any problem in the future, especially about compatibility with ms.office.

Xfce is one of my favorite DEs, snappy and light

compatibility with ms.office.

that'd be more of an application issue (libreoffice, onlyoffice, etc) than an xfce issue
